Year 4
Notice from EMS about 11th July athletics, they have had to cancel due to other commitments that have arisen. They apologise for the change.
Home learning - 16.07.24
As we draw to a close our Year we have decided to not set any home learning for this week. I did however think it was useful to clarify a few things that are coming up over the course of the week incase any messages have been lost in translation.
School books - the children will be bringing home school books on Friday, please could something like a bag for life be brought in on this day to help with carrying them. (There are a lot) A few children have very kindly offered that their books be kept at school to support the new Year 4 cohort with great examples to get them started in the Autumn term. These will be returned at the end of the Autumn Term.
Leavers disco - On Friday, straight after school. LINKS have kindly organised everything for our wonderful Owls and so other than bringing in a change of clothes for the disco you do not need to worry about organising anything for this event.
Class parties - Class parties will be next Monday and decided and organised in the classes, nothing externally needs to be brought in or sorted for this.
Leavers service - tissues at the ready for Tuesday! The children are very excited about having you as parents in, as well as the school community to say goodbye to them and share in memories they have made throughout their school life. We are going to start as close to 9.15am as possible so feel free to come in from 9am and get yourself settled before we see them off.
1pm pick up - As you know it is a 1pm pick up, the children will have their t-shirts signed and autograph books written in during the morning of Tuesday. The normal systems for pick up on the last day for Year would be a lovely way to send them off! (I hope we all know what I'm talking about here)
Home Learning - 9.07.24
Well the start of this week has definitely look a little different to last week! This will be the last of our home learning for the year.
For a little bit of a fun experiment we will have computing / music as our focus this week. Open purple mash where you will find 3 to do's set. The first is 'music definitions quiz', followed by 'busy beats' and finally the music review. The aim is to use Purple Mash to investigate different musical elements and consider the following questions:
- Can you clap the pulse of this tune?
- What can you say about the tempo of this piece of music?
- What can you say about the pitch of the notes?
- What sounds / instruments can you hear?
- What does this piece of music remind you of?
- How does it make you feel?
I look forward to seeing what you manage to create on Monday,
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen

PGL - Day 3
Good morning, we’ve woken up nice and early this morning as we did yesterday and got down to breakfast already for sausages, hash browns toast and beans - very happy children!
We are now off to clear rooms but we are so impressed by how tidy and organised they’ve been - room inspections were hard to judge!
We’ve continued today with amazing activities; laser tag and the big swing! We were so impressed with how all the children put their all in and gave both activities a real good go, we definitely have some dare devils on our hands who were willing to do the top level of the swing!
Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the photos of everything we’ve been up to, it really has been a wonderful few days and we hope the children come back buzzing about the memories they’ve made!
Update - day 2
The day has continued so brilliantly, we couldn’t be prouder of the children and how they have engaged with everything. The instructors here have all commented about how enthusiastic and well mannered the children are. I’ve added a few more photos of today in the slides. There will be more to come we are just unable to load everything with intermittent internet.
PGL - day 2
We are part way through day 2 and again having the best time! We travelled to Portland for our paddle boarding activity which was amazing! Here are a few shots from the morning:
PGL - Day 1
Hi from us here at PGL. We have jumped in with both feet and are having a wonderful time so far. The children want me to say they hope you are not missing them too much! So far we’ve enjoyed climbing, problem solving and a scavenger hunt ‘around the world’. You would definitely think we’d been here for ages the way they’ve got settled.
Below are just a few snapshots of what we’ve done so far!
25.06.24 PGL information and home learning
As you all know PGL is right around the corner and we are all very excited! This weeks home learning is to get ourselves ready and pack! Having shared the kit list already and updated the children that this year we've been advised it hasn't changed you can still find it as a link on this class page.
A couple of weeks ago, I shared with the children which staff would be joining us, apologies if this hasn't reached you but joining us on the residential will be myself, Mrs Hawkins and Mr McBurnie. All adults, I'm sure you will agree that the children are very familiar with so hopefully you feel reassured that we can support the children and their needs very well.
During our three days the class blog will be updated so please keep an eye. We will inform you of activities and if possible photos on a daily basis. This is reliant on the internet access which can be very patchy due to the location we are in. In the case of an emergency where all parents need to be informed, you will be contacted through the school office or via Mr Newbery but we will contact you directly if there is an emergency involving your child that you need to be aware of.
Please don't hesitate to come and speak to me if you have any further questions but I know the children (and staff) will have a wonderful time.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning 18.6.24
A quick note for those that will see this as a reminder about the leavers service at Salisbury Cathedral tomorrow. Children will need to be in school uniform and to all have a packed lunch and water bottle.
For home learning this week, we would like you to take a little trip down memory lane. Please could you try and find an early photo of when you first started school. This could be Squirrels for those of you that joined us then or a photo of you starting in reception in a different school. It would be lovely for you to have a think about a memory you have that goes with this.
Photos can either be sent through to the office or printed and brought in with your memory. I look forward to seeing this next week,
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning 11.06.24
Wow what a week! I just want to take this opportunity to say well done to everyone for the achievements that have been made during the MTC assessments. Everyone really has tried their best and I couldn't be prouder. Thank you for all the determination and hard work that went into practicing for these. The results go straight off at the end of the assessment and we get them back in a few weeks. These will be shared with you when we receive the results which may well coincide with the End of Year school reports.
For home learning this week, I'd like you to get your creative side out and we will be looking at our DT unit of structures. Our end of unit outcome will be to create a pavilion structure. Your job for home learning is to design one that would be perfect for our school grounds. To do this you will need to research good examples of pavilions, think about materials that would work perfectly for being in the school grounds and think about how it could fit into the surroundings of our environment. To help you, the DT knowledge organiser will guide you through and give you hints on things to focus on.
Can't wait to see your designs, you never know we could even put them forward as an idea to the school council!
Make sure they are ready for sharing on Monday,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 4.06.24
Welcome back to our final half term! The next couple of months are very busy ones and we will aim to keep you up to date with all the bits and pieces that arise.
Over the next week is when the governments MTC is happening for Year 4's across the country so as a final push I don't want to distract from all the amazing practicing that has been happening and would like to keep that as our focus this week for home learning. There has been such a huge improvement over the last month or so but please keep practicing the quick recall of those tricky multiplications that sometimes catch us out. 7, 8 and 9 times tables are the ones that sometimes catch us out or slow us down so please make these a focus for your practicing.
Any questions please just ask,
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Knowledge Organisers for Learning Block F
Home Learning - 21.5.24
This week we come to the end of another half term - only one left Owls!
As you know in the first couple of weeks after half term, the children will be completing the government's MTC. Over the next week and half term, please spend the time recapping those that slow you down the most or that you struggle to recall. This will most probably be 7, 8 or 9s. Practice on urbrainy, timestable.com, TTRS or using the flashcards or games.
Another thing we wanted to share was the kit list for PGL. We haven't yet had the updated one from PGL themselves for this year so we are sharing the one from last year (things don't change drastically year to year). We thought it would be useful so you have half term to get any bits together that you may need to borrow and you can start thinking about making a list of what things you have or don't have.
After half term you will be asked for buddy lists (we will do this in school) and I will collate them to organise rooms. You will find these out when you are there but please be reassured you will be with at least one person from your list!
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 14.5.24
In history this half term we have been learning about Vikings. This has followed on from the learning we did around Romans and Anglo Saxons. One of the things we investigated was where the Vikings came from and how they travelled. For your home learning this week, I would love for you to put yourself in the shoes of a Viking and think about the journey you would have gone on.
You are going to write a diary about your journey on a longboat from Norway to Scotland.
What was the boat like?
Who were you travelling with?
What was the weather like?
Time of day?
Was their a mid-sea battle?
Use your senses to describe what you could see/hear/smell/feel/taste. It may be useful to do more research about how the Vikings travelled and how they lived on the longboats.
A good start would be;
'Dear Diary, It was probably one of the most exhilarating but frightening experiences of my life so far…... '
Enjoy your research, I look forward to what I can find out from your perspective.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Science help sheet
Home Learning - 30.4.24 and 7.5.24
Firstly, my hugest apologies for the absence of home learning on this class page for the last 2 weeks. On both weeks I have spoken to the children about the expectation that their reading diaries are up to date and that our main focus has been times tables. Whether this is on TTRS or urbrainy or with their flashcards.
Yesterday, I introduced the children for the first time to what the gov MTC assessment looks like and they had a chance to complete it. Every day, the children get given a new QR code which lasts until 4pm. Some of them knew yesterday they wouldn't have a chance to practice this at home and therefore left them at school. When possible, I will give the children the opportunity to bring them home although they all said it feels pretty much exactly like urbrainy. With the gov practice, you don't get a school or analysis at the end and this can be a little frustrating so a mix would be the best option.
On Tuesday next week, there will be a set home learning which will once again focus on a curriculum area but please don't let this impact the reading or times table practice that goes on.
Many thanks for your understanding,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 23.04.24
What a busy start of term we've had. So much brilliant learning happening and extra things like a tag rugby tournament on Friday, they did so well! This week I am asking you to complete a project relating to our science learning. We have been learning about electricity and scientists that have made discoveries and helped electricity move on over time.
Attached is a handout to guide you through a project showing how different elements of energy and storing energy work.
If you don't have access to some or all of the resources please let me know and I will make sure you have everything you need!
I will look forward to sharing what everyone has achieved next Monday. It would be lovely to include an explanation of how it works and any problems you faced so you can explain how you overcame them.
Enjoy being scientists,
Mrs McMullen

Statutory spelling list
Home Learning - 19.3.24
As we approach the end of term, there are a few things you can be doing, these will become your home learning for this week. Pace yourself and remember little and often is always the best way to achieve the best!
Easter bonnets - as you would have seen we will be competing again this year for the best Easter themed hat, how creative and imaginative will you be?
Spellings - Year 4 statutory words. We have broken these up and been learning them over the Autumn and Spring term. Please see the attached link for Year 3/4 statutory words. At the end of the year the children will be expected to read and write these words but on their own and within writing.
Reading - we always aim for at least 3 reads and to record these in your diaries. Could you challenge yourself to read a different text type or listen to an audio book or try out a new author.
Maths - Times Table Rockstars or www.urbrainy.com/mtc or https://www.timestables.co.uk/speed-test/
You are all doing so well with your recall of times tables and as we get closer to the MTC in June we need to make sure we are recapping all the times tables.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning 12.3.24
For home learning this week our focus is on Maths. We are going to be having an MTC style challenge next week and to get you ready I'd like you to recap and practice all the times table we should have learned to this point. Working backwards we have done; 8s, 7s, 6s, 9s, 4s, 3s, 5s, 2s and 10s. We have also looked at 11s and lots of us feel as confident with these as the 10s. Please make sure you are practicing them in and out of order, on the computer or off is fine. The challenge is to have a rapid recall. Don't forget your pencil case with all the flashcards in can help you too.
Happy times tabling,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 5.3.24
Apologies for the delay in home learning this week, I have explained to the children that they don't need to worry about bringing their home learning in until Wednesday next week or saving it straight onto Purple Mash. We wanted to have a go at the challenge in computing first so they all knew what they needed to do.
Therefore, this week home learning is on purple mash. They have brought home a worksheet with letters down one side and a space for recording their codes. They need to figure out how to create those letters on 'Logo' which can be accessed through the tools section of Purple Mash.
The codes are all available, if they are unable to remember them all and they have been taught how to spot errors and to fix problems.
Rounded letters will of course look a little different as the program is unable to do curved lines.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you manage!
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen

During Block D, we are focusing our DT learning on adapting a recipe. We are working on creating a sweet outcome. For your home learning this week we would love you to think about a recipe and how you could adapt that recipe by changing one of the flavours. Could you write your recipe with the changes you have made and include instructions for someone else to follow.
This could be a recipe that you are helping your parents to make for dinner, a snack or something else.
I would love to see your recipes or photos that could be printed or emailed into the office to share with the class.
Happy cooking.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Parents - On Friday 23rd February we will be doing some taste testing for our biscuit unit of work in Design and Technology. Please could I ask that you inform me of any food allergies that we are unaware of before this date. We are obviously a nut free school so the biscuits will not contain these but if there is anything else I need to be aware of please let me know.
Home Learning - 20.2.24
This weeks home learning will be to do with our science learning. As you will see there is no Knowledge Organiser for this unit as it is based around British Science Week. On Tuesday the children investigated the effects of salt on ice by creating a salt water solution and applying it to ice. To take this learning further can you create an experiment to test the melting point of ice. This could be creating a different experiment to see what happens when salt is applied to ice or to test a different material and see if it has any impact on melting ice.
I would love to see photos, observations or descriptions of any kind to show what you have found out about this.
To go even further you could even create a prediction before your test and finish with a conclusion.
Happy investigating scientists.

Home Learning - 6.2.24
Firstly, a big well done everyone for another very busy half term. We have come to the end of Block C and the outcomes are amazing! We have seen some fabulous Warning Tales, learnt so much about earthquakes and have wonderful knowledge about sound, just to name a few. A highlight for me has definitely been seeing how engaged everyone has been with this Block's text 'The Enchanted Wood'. Although quite a traditional author, we have loved reading about the adventures the children have been on. I've loved hearing how many of you have tried other Enid Blyton books because of this.
Another great achievement has been how far we've come with times tables, this brings me onto our half term challenge. We have now covered the 2, 5 and 10 times tables; 3, 4 and 6s; 7, 9 and 11s and we have looked at patterns made through the 12 times table. This doesn't mean we are fully secure in all these times tables and so with a week off it is the perfect time to recap them and get really confident in them.
Please spend some time online using TTRS, urbrainy/mtc, timestables.co.uk or a new one to try 'Maths Frame MTC'
https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/resource/477/Multiplication-Tables-Check
This one is great for selecting just the times tables you have learnt and rehearsing the MTC style with just these. Again out of 25 and each question to be done within 6 seconds. If you'd rather not do this online, could you make your own flashcards, game or challenge sheets to try.
After half term I would love to know how you have got on with this practice.
Don't forget to keep that reading up too - still 3 times at least over the holidays.
Have a restful break and see you back here soon,
Mrs McMullen
Home learning - 30.01.24
This week we will be focusing on Science for our home learning. Open our Science Knowledge Organiser and let's recap some of the key vocabulary at home.
The three questions for this week are:
Why are these words used to explain or describe how sound works. Could you create a glossary for them or use our investigations to help you create some labelled diagrams.
- Vibration
- Sound waves
- Pitch
- Volume
*Beyond Expectation Question* - What can you research about the speed of sound? Can you explain what a sonic boom is and why they happen?
I look forward to hearing and seeing about what you do in school on Monday.
*Remember*
Reading - Please read at least three times a week to an adult and talk about what you have read. Make sure your Reading Diary records this. There has been a big improvement in this so thank you and keep it up :)
Mathematics - Please practice your times tables, remember you can practice saying them, using TT Rocksters, 1 minute maths or 'U R Brainy'. In school we are recapping 11 x tables at the moment and learning to be fluent with our 7 x tables.
Thank you and kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home learning - 23.1.24
This weeks home learning will be around Geography. Please open up the Knowledge Organiser to support this. We have been learning about earthquakes, how they happen, where and how they are measured. Up to this point, we have been focusing on a case study around the earthquakes that have occurred in New Zealand.
For your homelearning I would like you to do some research around other places that have experienced earthquakes. Your research could be around the effects of the earthquake and how this relates to the Richter scale measurement or could become a fact file talking about the place that it occurred and what you notice about the landscape.
It would be lovely to think about how you could present this research, either on the computer, as a poster or written as an information text (which we have learnt about in English).
I look forward to seeing what you find out and can share with us.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 16.1.24
Since starting back in January, Owls have been practicing and recalling our 6 times table. They have doing incredibly well and I have been so impressed by their positive attitudes and determination to work at improving their scores or times.
For this weeks home learning, I would love you to focus on building even more confidence with recalling. This is an opportunity to think about the best way you would like to practice. This could be making some fact cards to use as a matching game, rehearsing on TTRS / urbrainy / timestables.co.uk and see if you can improve your pace or accuracy.
On Monday, please be ready to share what you did to practice your times tables.
Have fun and enjoy the rest of your week,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 9.1.24
Although we are now almost a week in I just want to take this opportunity to say Happy New Year and welcome back to 2024. It has been amazing to see the children coming back in so well after the break and a special thank you to all of those that have upped their game on the times table front, it is making such a huge difference to the confidence the children are having in tackling new challenges! Also well done to everyone that kept the reading up through the holidays, it was so lovely to be able to give out extra raffle tickets on Friday :)
This week the focus for home learning is on Art. Open our Art Knowledge Organiser and use the knowledge you have learned in Art so far during Learning Block C to answer these questions:
Can you explain the difference between texture and pattern?
Texture can be found in art. What are the different ways in which you make visual texture using charcoals, patterns and colour?
What does the word 'abstract' mean when looking at art pieces? How could you use texture and pattern in an abstract piece? Could you create one?
I look forward to what you create next Monday.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen

This week for home learning we are focusing on computing. I know we have already done this during Block B, however I have a task for you to help her learning for our next lesson. This means you do have a little longer to complete it. This will need to be completed and brought in for next Wednesday 6.11.23 to use during our computing lesson.
I would like you to collect your own data about screen time. This is for you to complete about yourself and although we may share it so that we can learn about averages and plotting graphs, we will not be using it to embarrass anyone or boast about how much screen time we do or don't have. Below is an attachment of an example to record your data. Please do not feel you need to print this exact one off to use, you could create your own table in your home work book or on paper.
Be as honest as you can as it will help when we are talking about it next week - you never know it may even challenge your own thoughts on how much time you spend doing it!
Happy recording,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 21.11.23
This week we will be focusing on History for our home learning. Open our History Knowledge Organiser and let's pre-learn some of the key vocabulary at home.
The three questions for this week are:
Can you write a summary or create a poster or fact file explaining the attempts at invading from the three Roman leaders we have learnt about?
- Julius Ceasar
- Caligula
- Cladius
Can you draw a timeline of the Roman period?
This could include details of when the Roman emperors ruled, where and when the Roman's invaded, who they came up against when they tried to invade Britain.
Who was Boudicca? What impact did she have on the invasion of the Roman's?
*Beyond Expectation Question* - Do you think Britain have been impacted by the Roman's invading and succeeding or would it have been better if the never had come to Britain?
You can choose to answer one, two or all three questions! I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to complete in school next Monday.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 14.11.23
This week we will be focusing on PE for our home learning. Use the knowledge you have learned in PE during our Fitness Unit so far during Learning Block C.
The three questions for this week are:
Give a definition of these terms we have been using in PE for our fitness unit.
Pace -
Core strength -
Focused exercise -
Stamina -
Burst speed -
Technique -
Deliberate practice -
Thinking about these words and their definitions, can you name 5 different sports, (perhaps ones we have learned about in school), and think about how these terms could be linked to them? You could draw a picture, use a photo and label them if you wanted to.
What are the three main things a human needs to stay healthy?
Research these for a child your age? What are the recommendations for and 8 or 9 year old?
*Beyond Expectation Question* - Think carefully about this statement.
'All exercise does pretty much the same thing. Also, sleep isn't really that important for your health. What you eat can't effect how healthy your brain is or how well you learn.'
Do you agree / disagree / somewhat agree
Explain why using precise and accurate technical language.
You can choose to answer one, two or all three questions! I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to complete in school next Monday.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 7.11.23
This week we will be focusing on Computing for our home learning. Open our Computing Knowledge Organiser and use the knowledge you have learned in Computing so far during Learning Block B.
The three questions for this week are:
What is phishing when thinking about receiving electronic messages?
How can e-mails 'give us a virus'? What is a virus and what does it do?
Explain how you can practise e-safety when accessing your devices? Think SMART! You could even create a poster showing how to be SMART. https://www.childnet.com/resources/be-smart-online/ here is an example of a SMART poster to help you.
You can choose to answer one, two or all three questions! I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to complete in school next Monday. For those that manage the poster we will have a little competition and choose the best ones to be displayed around the school to prompt other year groups!
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 31.11.23
Welcome back Year 4. I have loved hearing about everything you got up to over half term but I have been more impressed by your focus and determination in coming back to school today, well done!
As we get back into a new half term, I'd like you to spend time for this weeks home learning, practicing your times tables. We have focused on recapping all the ones you should have learnt previously 2, 5, 10 and 3s as definite ones. Please use TTRS to complete challenges, have timed sessions or challenge me and see how many of these you can complete.
To go above and beyond please spend time starting to familiarise yourself with 6s (which we have already started), 11s and 9s.
Next week, we will have a times table challenge to complete so make sure you use your time well.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen

End of Block A
As we draw to a close on our first half term, I thought it would be lovely to show just a small selection of what we have been up to in Owls. To say I am proud of each and every one of you would be an understatement. You have put everything into your first half term and yesterday at Salisbury Cathedral just showed a snippet of how fantastic you are! I hope you all have the most wonderful half term break and are ready to come back raring to go for Block B.
Don't forget though Monday 30th October is an INSET day, so I will see you on the Tuesday.
Reminder - We have I sing Pop at Salisbury Cathedral on Wednesday next week (18th Oct) please remember to make sure children are sent in school uniform with their lunch, a water bottle and a coat.
Home learning - 10.10.22
This week we will be focusing on English for our home learning. Use everything you have been learning in English so far to help you answer these questions.
The three questions for this week are:
Can you explain what an 'explanation text is? What is it for? What is it not?
Name the structural features of 'an explanation text? How is it organised and why?
What do you know a lot of information about that you could create your own explanation text about a topic you are passionate about?
Clue:
Thought provoking questions
Conjunctions (causal and sequencing)
Technical Language
Headings and subheadings
You need to choose whether to answer 1,2 or all 3 questions.
I look forward to seeing your home learning on Monday.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen

This week we will be focusing on French for our home learning. Open our French Knowledge Organiser and use the knowledge you have learned in French so far during Learning Block A.
The three questions for this week are:
Can you write 3 sentences to present yourself in French? You will need to say what you are called, how old you are and where you live. The aim will be that you can introduce yourself to a partner, a group or the class.
What can you recall about the numbers to 10? Are you able to recite them or write them. We have begun learning numbers to 20 if you are able to go beyond expectations!
Can you share all your knowledge about 'Je Me Presente' that you have learned so far? Make sure you use the new and specific vocabulary. You could use pictures, diagrams, mind maps, cartoons anything you like to show all your new learning.
You can choose to answer one, two or all three questions! I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to complete in school next Monday. Hopefully, we can use your learning to have some conversations!
Kind Regards,
Mrs McMullen
Additional information
Please keep your eyes peeled for a letter explaining an opportunity Year 4 have to take part in the Emmanuel Middle School 'Musical' in March, we'd love as many to take part as possible. The children have had their introduction to the songs they will be performing and in the meantime I'm sure they will be able to explain all they know.
On Wednesday 20.9.23 we are having our 'iSingPop' workshop day, when the children have been introduced to all the songs the children will then be attending a full DSAT celebration at Salisbury cathedral to perform amongst all the Year 4 children across our family of schools. It will be on Wednesday 18th October (details will follow).
The w/c 25th September is our 'Bikeability' week. I have shared our school pledge with the children on Wednesday and we hope as many of you will be able to join us in our pledge to cycle or scoot to school at least once next week. Hopefully this means we can award all the children with a certificate at the end of the week for reaching this achievement!
Home Learning - 19.9.23
This week we will be focusing on Geography for our home learning. Open our Geography Knowledge Organiser and use the knowledge you have learned in Geography so far during Learning Block A.
The three questions for this week are:
Can you create a diagram, factfile or information text describing the positions of places in the world?
The ones we have learnt about in Geography are:
Lines of Latitude, Lines of Longitude, Equator, Prime Meridian, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn
Additionally, could you explain what 'scale' is when you use it on a map and give some different examples of why you would use small and large scale maps?
Can you create your own map using a scale of your local area and use any symbols you have seen on maps to create a key for your map?
You can choose to answer one, two or all three questions! I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to complete in school next Monday.
Kind Regards,
Mrs McMullen
Home Learning - 12.9.23
This week we will be focusing on Science for our home learning. Open our Science Knowledge Organiser and use the knowledge you have learned in Science so far during Learning Block A.
The three questions for this week are:
What can you tell me about the types of teeth we have as humans?
Can you name them and explain their specific jobs and why they are suited to do them?
What further information do you know about the tooth? Link this to the structure of the tooth we learned about in Science on Monday.
You can choose to answer one, two or all three questions! You can also think about how to present your home learning to show the answers to these questions. I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to do in school next Monday.
Kind regards,
Mrs McMullen
