Hi everybody,

We arrived safely and haven’t stopped as we are having so much fun!
The big swing was amazing, but a little frightening, as it took your breath away. We then went and shot air guns at targets. That was really cool!

The food is amazing, and we all ate really well!

We are out playing ‘ambush’ at the moment before a shower and then off to bed.

Lots of love xxxx

Pack your bags!

This week we would really like the children to pack their bags with you and take responsibility for ensuring that all the things they need are packed and ready for our residential trip on Wednesday.

Please could you go through the contents of the bags with your children so they are really clear on what they are bringing and why. See if they can lead checking this off against the kit list. Could you ask them to find the name in every item of clothing, so they can ensure it all makes its way back to you!

We are really excited about our residential and I have shared the 'hot of the press' itinerary with them today! Much to their delight!

Thank you,

Mr Vann.

Home Learning 21.06.22.

This week's home learning is music! The children will be singing a version of Oh Happy Day for their Sports Day song and their Leavers Service.

I have copied the lyrics and placed them in their book bags. The song is pretty straight forward, except for the 'rap' part. The children really need to know the lyrics for this part in order for it to flow well.

Please could I kindly ask you to learn these words with your children. I'm so sorry that I can't share the song due to copyright issues from Charanga - our music scheme. Learning the words however will be enough.

We will have a home learning share of knowing the lyrics on Monday 27th June.

Mr Vann.

There is still only one thing on our minds for home learning this week and that has to be Times Tables practice!

Our date to complete the national Multiplication Timestables Check is on Thursday ! Last chance to cram in as much practice as possible, especially on those target times tables.

Our practice sessions have gone brilliantly, so we are familiar and ready to take on the real thing!

The check has 25 questions, six seconds for each question, some of which will be focused on the 6,7,8 and 9 times tables too - it may well be worth your time revising these tables too!

If you would like some more information from the DfE, click here.

To practice, use this link to take to the Times Tables site the children are familiar with. Times Tables Rockstars is good too!

I would whole-heartedly recommend a good 15 to 20 minutes each night to really sharpen up those multiplication skills; although of course, you will know your child's threshold best.

Many thanks, wish us luck!

Normal homework to resume next week, get ready!
