British Values
Values that are important in Britain
Alongside our Christian values, children at Trinity CE First School also learn about five British values that will help prepare them for life in modern Britain. These are taught through Worship and the curriculum and are age appropriate.
Democracy
Everyone has a voice when decisions need to be made. For example, we hold a ballot when we vote for members of our School Council. We also collect views through questionnaires.
Respect
This is also one of our Christian values. We teach the children to be polite, to care, share and listen to each other. High expectations of behaviour are modelled and expected throughout the school. We teach the children to treat others as they would want to be treated.
Rule of Law
Our school rules are important as they help us all to feel safe at Trinity. We can always help each other if we forget how to behave. Each class produces their own set of rules to help their classroom run smoothly.
Tolerance
One of our school aims is to remember that everyone is special and wonderfully made. We celebrate these different qualities that make us all unique.
Individual Liberty
We all have the freedom to make our own choices and decisions, so long as our actions affect others in a positive way.
