Collecting your child

Collecting your child

Parents wait on the playground to collect children at the end of the day. Please do not come down to the playground before 2.55pm, as this can be distracting to the classes. At the end of the day, teachers ensure children go directly to the adult collecting them, after which they are in your care. Children are not permitted to walk out to the gate by themselves.  Our school grounds are very busy and it is easy for children to wander off so please keep them with you. Children are not allowed to run up and down on the grassy banks or planted gardens.

If someone other than the child’s parent or carer will be picking the child up, the school must have your permission in writing, by message at the door in the morning, or by telephone to the school office, even if the collector is another parent from the class or a grandparent etc. For their own safety, and for your peace of mind, your child will not be allowed to leave school with any other adult, unless we have your permission. At the beginning of each academic year, you will be asked to complete a ‘Collection Arrangements’ form with details of regular or long-term collection arrangements.
