On what was a very busy day at Trinity HQ, we also had our Summer Fayre on July 4th! A brilliant even. We are always so overwhelmed by the support of our families, community and local businesses. Making the most of the sunshine, our Year 4 children travelled to the beautiful Osmington Bay this week for their residential. Lots of hope and joy throughout the three days. Climbing, kayaking, zip-wiring, eating and laughing. As well as, not a lot of sleep for the staff... Last week, Year 1 and Year 3 headed to the Dorset coast. Trinity were thrilled to be part of the latest Priory Cup event, playing alongside St James' First School and Nursery - Wimborne Wimborne St Giles CE VA First School and Nursery and Cranborne First School. This time... the sport was rounders. This week has been a marathon, not a sprint! A number of children and parents ran in the London Mini Marathon, even a few ex-pupils got in on the act! Then, we staged our own Virtual Marathon, t school in Verwood. Huge thanks the Trinity Links PTA for the medals and refreshments! Last week, our Year 4 Class mentored their parents, with some Art tips! The children helped their loved ones, with some watercolours on canvas and some needle and thread skills. After a nervous start, we are pleased to say that all of our parents persevered, relaxed and left with some art to be proud of! Well done and thank you, to all involved. Everyone at Trinity First School, is delighted to be able to share our Ofsted Report. The children showed what a kind, curious and aspirational group they are. One pupil said to the chief inspector, "It is a school, where every idea matters" which is a ethos we can all aspire to uphold. All of the staff demonstrated what a dedicated and inspirational team they are. Our Governors shone in supporting us every step of the way and our parents and wider community did us all proud. Everyone at Trinity First School was thrilled to welcome Saltmine Theatre Company, for their performance of the Rhyming Bible this week. This was an adaptation of Bob Hartman's Rhyming Bible. The story was set at the moment of creation and brought the pupils of the school to Holy Week and the story of Easter. It was such a treat to see a familiar story, told in a different way, though dancing, rapping, singing and some really hilarious acting. The children were inspired from EYFS up to Year 4. A special thank you to the Bishop Wordsworth Educational Trust who gave a full grant to cover the cost of this performance and our friends at St James' First School and Nursery - Wimborne for their help arranging our visitors.

We had some very special guests at Trinity today! One of our parents, Mr Tsang arranged a group to visit us and share in the Chinese New Year celebrations. The children and staff were spell bound! It was wonderful to share the culture of others.
